CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

CYCLING - (Bike shorts are suggested)

  • Cycling Unlimited - All Levels - Outdoor cycling in an indoor environment. Work at your own pace.
  • Easy Rider - This 45 minute class gives riders a shorter alternative to our Cycling Unlimited class.

AQUATICS - (Water shoes are recommended) - Great classes for expecting mothers!

LAND - Modifications are shown for all levels.

  • Try Me - These 30 minute classes change each week and are a great way for people of all fitness levels to try something new.
    Schedule: June 3rd Ball-n-Sculpt w/Linda, June 10th Power Strength w/Teri, June 17th Step w/Aimee, June 24th Zumba w/Chrissi
  • Awesome ABS - A 30-minute core training class to focus only on the abs and back area.
  • "Back to the Basics" - Fun, easy to follow, basic weight training for upper/lower body. Good for all fitness levels.
  • Better Than Bingo – This once a month event allows seniors to enjoy many activities that The Yard has to offer. Experience Nintendo Wii, Cup Stacking and other games with a guidance of our staff!
  • Butts & Guts - Challenge your ABS and Butts in a whole new way. This class focuses on training the Abs and for trunk & postural stabilization followed by intense Glut work and stretching, to improve flexibility and release stress. (All Fitness Levels)
  • Cardio Boot Camp - A high impact cardio sports class. Different each week to keep you on your toes. Come ready to sweat! All levels.
  • Cardio Circuit - a challenging class incorporating the Circuit equipment and a variety of other "stations" to provide a well-rounded workout for those seeking a new group exercise experience (Intermediate) CLASS TAKES PLACE IN CIRCUIT ROOM
  • Lo-N-Firm - A moderate to high intensity workout that is great for fat burning and cardio conditioning followed by a strengthening and toning section. Great class for beginners-advanced.
  • Ball-n-Sculpt - Sculpt and conditioning class using the resist ball All levels
  • Kick Box - Boxing and core training combined. Kick Box Circuit: cardio kick box drills with weight training.
  • Power Strength - Whole body strength & conditioning class, combining weights bars, dumb bells & floor work to challenge the entire body. Great for all levels of fitness.
  • Rep Reebok and Power Sculpt - Challenge and define your body in this muscle building class.
  • Sculpt Express - 45 min weight training class utilizing multiple muscle groups to get a great workout in a shorter time.
  • Step Challenge - Challenge your mind and body to a new level in this creatively choreographed advanced step class. The choreography is exciting and the intensity is high to help you improve coordination, body awareness and cardiovascular conditioning. Intermediate to Advanced.
  • Step-n-Sculpt - Get the cardio challenge and fat burning workout from the step portions of this class, mixed in with strength training intervals that utilize hand-held weights, tubes, or our own body’s resistance to shape your body from head to toe.
  • Power Sculpt -Tone and Firm your entire body. Every muscle group is worked using bum bells, bars, balls and tubing. All levels
  • Cross Training - This workout conditions your cardiovascular system while training and toning every muscle group. Great way to start your day.
  • Zumba - A hi-lo impact dance class with Latin style. Learn Salsa, Meringue and more while getting a great work out. All levels of fitness.
  • XY Cross Training – A Cross Training Session Developed By Men for Men to Promote: Muscular Strength & Endurance - Agility & Speed - Power & Performance

MINDBODY CLASSES:

  • Mat Pilates HU - This class is a total Mind body workout, which focuses on precise concentrated movement using the mind to feel and focus on the body. Movements emphasize building strong abs and lower back to enhance strength, muscular symmetry, alignment, flexibility, grace coordination. All fitness levels.
  • Sunrise Pilates – Mat Pilates HU but on the upstairs sundeck. In the event of rain class will be held in Group Fitness Room
  • Strong-n-Balanced - Ideal for those 50+, this class increases strength and flexibility and improves balance for an improved ability to accomplish our everyday tasks-and-more!
  • Yoga - a traditional yoga class based on an ancient form of movement that promotes balance, flexibility, strength, and relaxation through various postures and breathing techniques. All fitness levels.
  • Beginner Yoga - a slower paced yoga class incorporating more stretching and focusing on good yoga form.
